What our event security teams handle on the day

Crowd management

Officers direct flow at entrances, bars and exits so pinch points never become crush points.

Access and accreditation

Ticket scanning, wristbanding, VIP and backstage control, and refusal handling done without a scene.

Search and screening

Proportionate, lawful search procedures including bag checks and wanding where the risk assessment calls for it.

Licensing compliance

SIA door supervisors who understand your premises licence conditions and keep you the right side of them.

How it works

  • Free site survey. A security consultant walks your premises, or reviews plans and imagery when you need cover today. No charge, no obligation.
  • Written risk assessment. You get a documented assessment of your actual weak points, not a list of everything we sell.
  • Fixed, itemised quote. One price, broken down, with no uplift for nights, weekends or bank holidays. What we quote is what you pay.
  • Vetted officers on site. BS7858 screened, SIA licensed officers inducted on your premises, with a named account manager from day one.

Event Security questions

How many security staff does my event need?

Licensing conditions commonly start around one SIA officer per 100 guests, but the real number depends on alcohol, layout, demographic and time. We produce a written recommendation as part of the quote.

Do you handle Martyn's Law requirements?

We can advise on and support your obligations under the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act, including staff awareness and evacuation planning for qualifying premises.

How much does event security cost?

Cost follows guest numbers, licensing requirements, hours and the risk profile of the event. We quote from the event plan, and the price covers the briefing and the debrief rather than just the hours on site.

How far in advance should I book event security?

For a standard function a week or two is comfortable. For anything with a licence condition, a large capacity or a bank holiday weekend, book earlier. Good door teams get committed well ahead, and the ones still free at short notice are usually free for a reason.
